Label a phage's protein coat with ³⁵S and its DNA with ³²P, infect E. coli, then run the blender and centrifuge to find where the radioactivity ends up (supernatant, pellet, new phages) and show that DNA is the genetic material. Then move E. coli from ¹⁵N to ¹⁴N medium and compare the DNA bands in the tube each generation with the bands predicted by the conservative, semiconservative and dispersive models.
